Jeanne René ~ Time ... Promises and Poetry : 10/27/26

My husband and I just returned from So. Korea and we had a wonderful time. I'm going to try to get to all of my photos and thoughts asap and share here.

Artist Statement

The many times I have tried to write an artist statement I just end up deleting what I have struggled to compose. So, simply put I just do what I do. I write what I feel, what I see, what I imagine and what I question. I paint what my mind envisions in my daydreams, often no plan whatsoever but simply putting a brush to the canvas. It's all that simple. I'll leave it to you to decide what you think about any and all. That's my statement.

Let me be
the storyteller.
Let me
weave
just for you
the rhythm of a beating heart,
visions too marvelous to behold,
and the delights of a gentle touch
in my poem.

In my poem
let me
compose
just for you
the power of thought,
the joy of laughter,
and the tears spent over a forsaken passion ...
for you
spun
by me
the storyteller.
Let it be.
